#WinePairingWednesday – Steaks

When you think of steak you think red wine every time, right?

In most cases that works but depending on the spice, white wine or bubbles might pair better. For this #WinePairingWednesday we’re going to look at two AdapTable Meals steaks and see which wines pair with each.

  1. Garlic Butter Steak – garlic pairs best with the acidity of white wines. With garlic butter, you have a couple of good options. A citrussy white wine like Sauvignon Blanc will work well, or you could serve it with a dry champagne/sparkling wine to get that extra pop of bubbles. Whatever you prefer – make sure your meat is AdapTable.

  2. Smokey Bourbon – since Smokey Bourbon has a traditional beef flavor, it should be paired with a traditional big, bold red wine such as California Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec. Pairing steak with any of these wines is bound to make your taste buds sing in harmony – you could even add a little wine to the meat if you’re looking for a little something extra.

Whichever steak you decide to go with for dinner tonight, make sure it’s AdapTable. Tag us in your newest #WinePairingWednesday creations to have a chance to be featured on Pinterest.
